Supertracker 4 Wheel alignment

A wheel alignment is part of standard car maintenance. It consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are set to the car maker's specification. The purpose of these adjustments is to maximise tyre life and ensure that a vehicles travel is straight and true when driving along a straight and level road.

Wheel Alignment

The term Wheel Alignment is the general description given to service to check and correct the many mechanical devices, which go together to form the vehicles Steering and Suspension System.

With your vehicle correctly aligned you will benefit from:

Reduced tyre Wear

Improper alignment is a major cause of tyre wear.Over the years, a properly aligned vehicle can add thousands of miles to tyre life.

Increases Fuel Economy

Fuel mileage increases as rolling resistance decreases. Total alignment sets all four wheel parallel which, along with proper inflation, minimizes rolling resistance.

Correct Handling

  • Does your car pull to one side?
  • Do you constantly have to move the steering wheel to keep your cartravelling straight ahead?
  • Do you get poor tyre wear?

These are all symptoms of misalignment. This can be corrected, make the vehicle handle properly, so making it safer to drive.

Component Inspection

In the alignment process all steering and suspension joints are inspected. Any worn parts can be identified. Parts can be replaced earlier so helping to eliminate potential break downs or component failures.

Steering Wheels.

Modern cars are now being fitted with an air bag on the steering wheel. The only way to correct any misalignment of the steering wheel is to carry out a full four wheel alignment. This will re-align your steering wheel in the correct position.
